VIEW (DOVE) Ltd is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity within the voluntary sector. The Workshop was established during the Miners' Strike 1984 - 85 by a group of women from the Miners' Support Group in the Dulais Valley. The role of the Dove Workshop is to identify and support adults in the community seeking education, training and advice on business start-up.
The Workshop established a Social Enterprise in 1989 to further develop the child care provision, offer office services and more recently a community café and catering service

CORE TEAM

Julie Bibby and Lesley Smith - Joint Co-ordinators
Julie and Lesley are responsible for the overall management of the DOVE Workshop and work with the DOVE Steering Committee to ensure that the aims and objectives of the Organisation are being met. Part of their role is the planning and running of the training and education provision at the Workshop, developing new initiatives and networking with all the education and training providers in Neath Port Talbot and surrounding areas.

Kate Faulkner – Learner Support Worker
Kate is employed to support all learners and will aid them in choosing the right learning options. Part of Kate's role is to work with learners who need to brush up on their English, Maths and IT.

Lorraine Roberts - Administrator
Lorraine is employed to help develop and administer the curriculum and support the needs of learners and visitors to the centre.

Jill Douglas - Manager DOVECOTE Day Nursery
Jill is responsible for managing the nursery, and is line manager to six nursery assistants. Jill ensures that the high standards of care within the nursery are maintained and the needs of the children and parents/guardians are met fully.

Bethanne Phillips - Deputy Manager of DOVECOTE Day Nursery
Bethanne assists the Day Nursery Manager in all aspects of running a busy,
successful and high quality day nursery.

Gill Watts - Cafe SARN HELEN Manager
Gill is responsible for all aspects of running a healthy eating cafe, including staff supervision/training, planning menus and providing buffets.
